Yes I know I’m playing catch up regarding these lists. Christopher Butcher is a lot better at it than me (then again he has been doing it for a lot longer I guess). I do aim to be more productive with this site in the future and start sorting out the lists on a timely basis and at least 3 reviews a week. That’s around 5 hours of work a week but I have to make the time if I’m going to get to reviewing and talking about all the books I want. I talked about this series in my end of year review. It ended on a massive cliffhanger and I can’t wait for this trade. One of the best series in a good long time. My only complaint is that the creative team has already said that they think the series will end around issue #50, so at most we have another 4 or 5 more of these trades to look forward to.

Damn, that was fast. I bought the first volume not too long ago and I haven’t had the chance to read through it all. This is something I’ve been waiting for a long time. Basically Rebellion is publishing the entire Judge Dredd comics right from the begining. It’s a very good idea and the books are chunky and well put together. Some of the dialogue and stories are pretty hockey but that’s because it’s all 70s stuff. Hopefully once the 80s roll around the edge that underlined this character shines through.

Another book I was well into last year. Due to the completely sporadic nature of the publishing I have no idea which volume I’m actually at right now. So I’ll have to check and see where I’m at and then jump with both feet into this series. It is very well done and incredibly fun. One of the best manga’s from last year.

If I’m not mistaken this is actually the first book that Bill Willingham from Fables fame wrote for the DCU. He’s got a shed load of books coming out in the coming months, a lot of which I’m really looking forward to. I’ve heard mixed things about this book and would usually be jumping on based on how much I enjoy his other stuff, however to be honest I’ve never had any affinity for this character.

I have really lost touch with this series and the ABC books in general. It’s like I lost interest in general, even though I own all these books as hardcovers. It’s just one of those things I decided to do for Mr.Moore’s stuff coming out at the time. Some of the books I don’t think warrent a hardcover treatment but I buy anyway because it’s tradition with me now. I’ve got like 15 of the things or something stupid like that. Sadly I only bought book 3 I think of this series. It’s an excellent series. Great character and superb art in general, especially when Chris Sprouse is handling the art. Definitely worth checking out all the earlier versions as well.
