I’ve got to say that the Dynamite Entertainment website is an utter shambles. Can I find any information about their Red Sonja series? Can I fuck. Sort it out boys, it’s not good. I should be able to get how many issues this trade has in it and all that jazz, unfortunately I get 7 pages of links to different covers of the same book, or thereabouts. It’s not like I was planning on getting this, I’ve still not read any of the new Conan stuff, and that’s meant to be brilliant.

Oh dear god they’re actually going to release this book? It’s only 3 or 4 years late. Honestly though I’m going to get it because I remember the buzz I got when I was a kid finding out about Image Comics. Comics were fun back then, mainly because I didn’t have anything else to fill my mind.

I’ll definitely be picking up this book. You’ve got to heavy hitters as far as I’m concerned, Warren Ellis and Chris Sprouse. I’ve not seen anything new from Sprouse in friggin years. He made a massive name for himself attached to Alan Moore’s great Tom Strong so I was very happy to see him team up with Warren for something that could be very interesting. From the Wildstorm website:

I read the first volume of this and enjoyed it, but not enough to hunt down the rest of the series. I guess I’ll wait till the smaller hardcover comes out (there’s a solicitation for a 24 issue hardcover, which IMHO is a bit overkill but there you have it). Hopefully Kirkman will have the sense to release it as a normal 12 issue hardcover that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
